KBRO (Brownsville, TX) => KPEQ (Pecos, TX) => P19 (Stellar Airpark) - Leg
Completed - 6.4 hours
We're home!
Hey, all! I'm writing this from my couch on Monday, Dec 20 at home! We made it!
Just a quick note on Sunday's flight, as there isn't too much out of the ordinary
to report. We had a long flying day yesterday partly due to the length of
distance we had remaining, but mostly due to the high headwinds we had to
encounter on the westbound journey.
Our stop in Pecos was fantastic, as usual. A quick fill up for the plane and one for
us with the best airport burritos around set us on our way.
Coming back to Stellar, it was nice to hear some friendly voices on the radio
when we announced our positions and also to see some friendly faces on the
ground waiting for us. The ease of the two legs in the US certainly reminded me
of how great it is to be able to fly within these borders!
I'll post a few pictures and videos from the final two legs. Also, check back as in
the next day or two, I will be writing the 'Postflight' portion of the webpage,
which is sure to include some great lessons learned along the way.
